New book chapterAugust 2014
I had a chapter in a major new book out on August 14th, published by Oxford University Press. 'Sustainable Consumption: Multi-disciplinary Perspectives In Honour of Professor Sir Partha Dasgupta' is a landmark interdisciplinary volume on sustainability dedicated to Professor Dasgupta, one of the world's leading economists who works in this area. The book has 'chapters from world-leading experts in ....different disciplines (psychology, neuroscience, economics, politics, sociology, anthropology and history) that seek to explain the perspectives on sustainable consumption of their disciplines' (from the cover).
The authors include Partha Dasgupta, Professor of Economics at the University of Cambridge, Drazen Prelec, Professor of Econonomics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harold Wilhite, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Oslo, Richard Wilk, Professor of Anthropology at the University of Indiana, Paul Fletcher, Professor of Health Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, Charles Perrings, Professor of Environmental Economics at the Arizona State University, Maureen Cropper, Professor of Economics at the University of Maryland etc.
My chapter, with co-author Laura McGuire, summarises our particular approach to sustainability, exploring the potential value of considering implicit attitudes in this domain.
