Appointed to newly created IPBC to lead on behavioural change for sustainable development

July 2019

I have been asked to be a member of the steering committee for the newly created Interdisciplinary and Intergovernmental Panel on Behavioral Change (https//gieco-ipbc.org/).

The IPBC will be in line with the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) and its purpose is to bring together the best specialists in the relevant domains to propose concrete measures for civil society to facilitate behavioral change for more sustainable, equitable, and desirable development.

About thirty individuals globally were invited. The first meeting of the steering committee is to be held in October in Paris at UNESCO. The plan is to integrate with the IPCC given the critical importance of behaviour change for climate change goals.
