Mouton d’Or Panel Appointment
January 2018I now sit on the panel for the prestigious Mouton d’Or prize.
It selects the best article published each year in the journal Semiotica, the official journal of the International Association for Semiotic Studies, the largest organisation for semioticians in the world.
The award for 2017 went to Jamin Pelkey from Canada for his excellent article ‘Greimas embodied: How kinesthetic opposition grounds the semiotic square,’ which appeared in Issue 214. The Jury for the 2017 award consisted of Małgorzata Haładewicz-Grzelak (Poland), Chair, Hongbing Yu (China) and myself.
I will be chair of the panel in 2019.
