I was Chair of the international Mouton d’Or Prize Panel. The publishers of Semiotica offer an annual prize, the Mouton d'Or, to the author of the best article each year. Semiotica, is the official journal of the International Association for Semiotic Studies, the largest organisation for semioticians in the world.

The award was announced in January 2020.
